Chicago-based filmmaker interview

Last week I had the pleasure of interviewing Deontay Wilson, a Chicago-based filmmaker. Deontay premiered his first documentary “Westside Stories: Paradise Lost” last week at the Kehrein Center for the Arts – where I’m currently working as a communications consultant.

Check out my coverage of the event here: Deontay Wilson’s “epic poem” documentary series receives heartfelt community response.

This is the type of work that I love to do as a Chicago-based freelance writer. Combining journalism and communications makes for very fun, satisfying work.

It is a great pleasure to read all the wonderful journalism you have been working so hard to produce. Haven’t had the wonderful privilege of working with you a few years ago. I smile with the light whenever I see your name and read what you have been doing so well. It is such a wonderful experience to share your journey. God bless.
